Housekeeping Supervisor – MOM Darwin Hostel, Café & Bar

Start Date: Immediate Start For the Right Candidate

Location: MOM Darwin, 52 Mitchell Street, Darwin

Position Type: Full-time Permanent, Monday to Friday, 7am - 3pm

Are you an experienced housekeeper with strong leadership skills and excellent time management? MOM Darwin Hostel, Café & Bar is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our team through the changing seasons.

About MOM Darwin

Located in the heart of Mitchell Street, MOM Darwin is a 400-bed hostel with an onsite café and bar. Our guests range from international backpackers to long-term workers, creating a lively and diverse environment. During the dry season, we run at full capacity with a vibrant party atmosphere. During the wet season when occupancy drops drastically the focus shifts to efficiency, attention to detail, and maintaining high standards with leaner operations.

Key Responsibilities

* Supervise and coordinate daily cleaning operations across guest rooms and public areas

* Lead, train, mentor, and support the housekeeping team

* Create and manage staff rosters to meet changing seasonal demands

* Ensure cleanliness and presentation consistently meet MOM Darwin standards

* Monitor stock levels of linen, supplies, and cleaning materials

* Conduct performance feedback and staff development sessions

What We're Looking For

* Proven housekeeping experience with great attention to detail

* Strong leadership and team management skills

* Excellent time management and organisational abilities

* Ability to adapt to seasonal changes in workload and staffing

* Positive, proactive attitude with the ability to multitask under pressure

* Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays as part of a rotating roster
