About the opportunity
Werribee Mercy Hospital is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Theatre Technician to join our Perioperative team for a short-term contract until the end of December 2025 (possibility to extend after this date).

As a public hospital servicing the community of the West, we have an exciting growth strategy which will lay the foundation for the future and provide opportunity for professional development and career progression. Our Perioperative department is light, bright and modern consisting of six theatres. We provide service to a growing list of specialties including obstetrics, gynaecology, orthopedics and respiratory.

  • Exciting opportunity to gain experience working across all surgical specialities as a theatre Technician.
  • Assist in the maintenance of the Theatre environment to ensure a smooth and effectively run shift.

To thrive in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience working as a grade 3 or higher Theatre Technician.
  • Certificate IV in Health - Operating Theatre Technician Practice or equivalent.
  • The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:

  • A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
  • Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
