Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Migration Specialist to lead the migration of our API infrastructure from Kong API Gateway to AWS cloud platform. The ideal candidate will have expertise in AWS Cloud services, Kong Konnect, Golang framework, and Terraform to ensure a smooth, secure, and scalable transition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute the migration of API services from Kong API Gateway to AWS.
  • Design and implement AWS cloud infrastructure using Terraform.
  • Migrate and optimize API configurations, policies, and security settings in AWS.
  • Utilize Kong Konnect to manage and monitor APIs during and after migration.
  • Develop and deploy API integrations using Golang framework.
  • Ensure minimal downtime and data integrity during the migration process.
  • Document migration procedures, configurations, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, Security, and Development.

Required Skills:

  • Proven experience with AWS Cloud services (EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, IAM, etc.).
  • Hands-on expertise in Kong Konnect platform.
  • Strong proficiency in Golang framework and API development.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
  • Knowledge of API security, governance, and monitoring.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience migrating API gateways or similar infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
  • Certifications in AWS or related cloud technologies.
