What You'll Be Doing

  • Assess development applications for heritage places
  • Draft and review local planning policies
  • Evaluate Local Planning Scheme amendments
  • Conduct land use planning research
  • Coordinate responses to State planning initiatives
  • Provide advice to public and developers
  • Represent Council in meetings and inquiries

What You'll Bring

We're seeking someone who's curious, community-minded, and ready to grow. If you're passionate about planning and heritage, and keen to make a difference, you'll ideally bring:

  • Tertiary qualification in Urban or Town Planning
  • Experience in statutory or strategic planning
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Clear and confident communication style
  • Knowledge of planning legislation and processes
  • Ability to collaborate and influence respectfully
