Agent Sales & Services Pty Ltd is a privately owned Western Australian company based in Bassendean, operating since the 1990s. The company provides a full-service chemical supply offering—sourcing, blending, storing, and distributing a wide range of liquid and dry chemical products.

We supply essential chemicals such as hydrochloric acid, sulphuric acid, sodium hydroxide, sodium hypochlorite, and other related products to clients across the mining, oil and gas, manufacturing, construction, and water and wastewater management sectors throughout Western Australia.

Our operations include in-house toll blending, packaging, storage, and safe transportation of chemicals, supported by a dedicated fleet and partnerships with reliable logistics providers. With extensive warehouse facilities and ISO9001:2015 accreditation, we maintain full compliance with the safe storage, handling, and transport of dangerous goods.

Agent Sales & Services Pty Ltd has built a strong reputation for reliability, safety, and customer-focused service. We employ skilled technical staff across our plant operations, logistics, and support teams and are now seeking a qualified and experienced Chemical Plant Operator to join our Bassendean operations. This is a full-time, ongoing position.

Key duties will include:

  • Operating, monitoring, and adjusting plant equipment and control systems for chemical production.
  • Collecting and testing samples, interpreting results, and recording plant data.
  • Ensuring compliance with WHS and environmental requirements.
  • Inspecting and maintaining plant equipment, reporting malfunctions, and arranging repairs.
  • Recording production output and preparing reports on operational performance.
  • Working effectively within a team to achieve production and safety targets.
  • Monitoring automated control systems, gauges, and meters to regulate temperature, pressure, flow rates, and chemical reactions.
  • Assisting with chemical blending, packaging, and transfer operations in accordance with production schedules and safety procedures.
  • Supporting safe handling, storage, and transportation of bulk and packaged chemical products in compliance with dangerous goods regulations.

Skills and experience required:

  • At least 2 years of relevant full-time experience as a Chemical Plant Operator.
  • Trade-related qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate pumps, valves, compressors, and process control systems.
  • Knowledge of WHS standards and safe handling of chemicals.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts as required.

Location: Bassendean, WA

Salary: $77,000 per annum plus superannuation

Hours: Full-time (38 hours per week), ongoing
