Senior Surveyor

About the Role

We're partnering with a well-established, family-owned civil contractor delivering land development, subdivisions, road upgrades and civil infrastructure projects across SEQ from a Gold Coast base.

As the Senior Registered Surveyor, you'll take ownership of cadastral and engineering survey work across multiple land development and civil projects. You'll lead field and office tasks, oversee set-out and as-constructed surveys, and ensure all deliverables meet legislative, QA and client requirements.

This role combines autonomy with genuine backing from an experienced operations and project team. It's ideal for a Registered Surveyor who wants long-term project stability, strong safety culture, and the opportunity to shape quality outcomes while mentoring junior survey staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver cadastral, engineering and construction surveys for land development and civil works
• Complete accurate set-outs, as-constructed surveys, topographic surveys and control networks
• Manage GNSS, robotic total stations, digital levels and related survey equipment and data processing
• Prepare survey plans, reports and certificates in line with legislation, project specs and QA standards
• Liaise with project engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, clients and authorities to align survey outcomes with the construction program

What You'll Bring

• Registered Surveyor with tertiary qualifications in Surveying / Spatial Science (or equivalent)
• Proven experience across civil construction and land development (subdivisions, roads, civil infrastructure)
• High proficiency with modern survey instruments and industry software (e.g. 12d, Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center or similar)
• Strong understanding of survey legislation, standards, QA and documentation requirements
• Ability to manage priorities across multiple sites, with clear communication and a strong safety and quality focus

Salary & Benefits

• $150k–$170k + super, commensurate with experience
