Hunter Valley Premium Meats is a well-established local family-owned meat wholesale company

supplying premium meat products to restaurants and the public across the Hunter Valley and Sydney regions.

Due to growth and expansion, we have an opportunity for an experienced, reliable, qualified butcher to join our growing team.

With a commitment to excellence and a focus on customer satisfaction, we pride ourselves on providing the finest cuts of meat to our valued clients.

In your role as our Butcher, you will be required to;

o Expertly prepare various cuts of meat according to customer specifications and requirements (predominantly beef, lamb, and pork).

o Work safely and systematically within the team to meet production targets and fulfill customer orders efficiently.

o Ensure the highest level of product quality and consistency by applying our strict quality control procedures.

o Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper handling and storage of products, equipment, and tools.

o Assist in inventory management, ensuring accurate stock levels and minimize waste.

o A requirement to work night shift, which may change from time to time.

Requirements.

o Demonstrated experience as a butcher, preferably in a wholesale or retail meat environment.

o Strong knowledge of different cuts of meat and relevant preparation techniques

o Exceptional knife skills and attention to detail.

o Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

o Excellent communication and customer service skills

o Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and work in cold temperatures.

o Knowledge of health and safety regulations in relation to meat handling and storage
