Your opportunity

Help shape how risk is understood and managed at Tabcorp

At Tabcorp, maintaining a healthy balance of excitement and integrity is at the heart of what we do. Our Risk & Compliance Team plays a key role in supporting this by helping the business understand risks, make informed decisions, and operate with confidence in a highly regulated environment.

We're looking for a skilled Risk Governance & Policy Specialist (mid‑level) who brings solid risk or compliance experience, strong analytical thinking, and a collaborative approach. If you enjoy turning complex concepts into clear, practical guidance and partnering with the business to embed good risk practices, this is the role for you.

Join a team of experts who thrive on problem‑solving and helping the business do things the right way—while keeping things engaging, constructive, and forward‑looking.

How you'll be a part of the action

This role offers the perfect balance of ownership and support. You'll work with experienced peers, gain exposure across the organisation, and play an important role in maintaining and improving Tabcorp's enterprise risk frameworks and policies.

You'll contribute to meaningful work—improving clarity of policy, supporting business teams with practical advice, maintaining the Risk System (TRACS), and assisting in preparing insights for senior leadership. You'll have opportunities to build relationships, influence good practice, and continue developing your career in a supportive team that values curiosity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Your winning edge

In this role, you'll help make sure our risk frameworks, policies, and systems remain clear, well‑maintained, and easy for the business to apply. Your day‑to‑day will include:

  • Supporting the maintenance and enhancement of enterprise‑wide risk frameworks and policies.
  • Support and manage the end‑to‑end policy lifecycle—drafting updates, coordinating reviews, and communicating changes.
  • Helping prepare risk reporting, including collating data, identifying trends, and ensuring insights are accurate and meaningful.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to explain policies, answer queries, and help identify improvements to risk controls.
  • Supporting the operation and enhancement of TRACS (our ERM system) to ensure it aligns with the risk framework.
  • Developing and maintaining risk training and awareness materials.
  • Contributing to strengthening governance processes and ensuring frameworks are practical and operationally effective.

What you'll need to succeed

You'll thrive in this role if you enjoy working with frameworks and policies, translating concepts into practical tools, and supporting the business to understand risk.

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Around 6–7 years' experience in risk, compliance, governance, transformation, projects, business partnering or management consulting within a medium or large organisation.
  • Strong knowledge of risk or compliance practices, and the ability to apply them with a commercial and pragmatic mindset.
  • Excellent organisation skills, attention to detail, and a structured approach to managing frameworks and reporting cycles.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to explain complex ideas clearly.
  • Experience using or supporting risk systems (such as TRACS or similar).
  • Curiosity and problem‑solving ability to understand root causes and help develop practical solutions.
  • Experience supporting or coordinating junior team members (desirable, but not people‑leadership focused).

If you're ready to build your career in risk governance and work with a team that values expertise, collaboration, and continuous improvement, we'd love to hear from you.
