Counter Service Representative

About the role

Pacific Fasteners & Hydraulics Pty Ltd is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Counter Service Representative to join our team in Tully, Queensland. In this full-time position, you will play a key role at the heart of the operations - delivering outstanding service to our customers and supporting the efficient, day-to-day operations of our busy service counter.

What you'll be doing

• Providing friendly, knowledgeable customer service at our retail counter
• Assisting customers with purchases, product recommendations, and general queries
• Maintaining accurate stock levels and ensuring the counter area is clean and well-organised
• Processing sales transactions, handling cash and Eftpos payments
• Supporting the team with administrative and operational tasks as needed
• Contributing to a positive, collaborative, and customer focused team culture

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in customer service and retail, including handling inquiries, preparing quotations, and converting quotes into sales
• Sound knowledge of hydraulic fittings, seals, fasteners and industrial fittings
• Experience in counter sales with proficiency in using point-of-sale and sales software preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to delivering excellent service
• Good numerical ability and accuracy in handling cash and processing transactions
• Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail
• A proactive mindset with the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems effectively
• Flexibility to work as part of a team and adapt to the changing needs of the business
