We are currently seeking a friendly and outgoing Cafe Attendant
to join the team providing support services at Bethanie Fields Aged
Care Home located in Eaton. Co-located with a retirement village,
Bethanie Fields is a 160 bed facility designed specifically to
provide support for people who need 24 hour care, including those
with special care needs and dementia.
As a Cafe Attendant, you'll create a warm and inviting
cafe atmosphere where residents and family members can socialise,
relax and enjoy refreshments. You will play a significant part in
promoting social interaction and overall wellbeing among our
residents, making a positive contribution to the ageing experience
for older people.
This role is offered on a permanent part time basis, working
35.5 hours per fortnight across the following roster:
Week 1: Monday 9am - 4pm, Tuesday 9am - 4pm, Saturday 10am -
2pm, Sunday 10am - 2pm
Week 2: Tuesday 9am - 4pm, Saturday 10am - 2pm, Sunday 10am -
2pm
About You
- Possess a passion for or previous experience working as a
Barista or Cafe Attendant, including using a commercial
espresso machine - Experience in food preparation and safe food handling
- Have a 'can do' attitude and a genuine
compassion for our residents - Reliable with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a
team - Willingness to uphold the Mission, Vision and Values of The
Bethanie Group - Willingness to obtain relevant vaccinations
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to
apply for one)
The Role
- Providing customer service with warmth and a smile
- Preparing cafe style food and beverages, including using a
commercial espresso machine - Operating a cash register and managing payments
- Managing the dietary requirements of our residents
- General cleaning and maintenance to ensure the cafe meets
all health and safety standards
