About the Role

We are seeking a Data Scientist based in Australia to drive data-driven decision-making and deliver valuable insights through advanced analytics, machine learning, and statistical modelling. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to solve complex business problems using data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop predictive models and machine learning algorithms to generate insights.
  • Analyse large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to define analytical requirements.
  • Design and implement data experiments and statistical tests.
  • Communicate findings through visualisations, reports, and presentations.
  • Work closely with data engineers to optimise data pipelines and data quality.
  • Apply data science techniques to support forecasting and business strategy.
  • Stay updated on emerging data science tools, libraries, and industry trends.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, R, or similar programming languages.
  • Experience with machine learning libraries such as Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
  • Solid understanding of statistical analysis and probability concepts.
  • Ability to work with large datasets and structured/unstructured data.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with SQL and data manipulation tools.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Familiarity with data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Understanding of MLOps and model deployment best practices.
  • Experience working in Agile or cross-functional team environments.
  • Familiarity with big data technologies such as Spark or Hadoop.
