Experienced Farmhand

We are a family-owned business operating a number of farms throughout NSW.  We are looking for experienced Farmhands to join our teams in Narromine and Warren, where row crop irrigation and dryland broadacre cropping are the primary operations.

Your Role

Reporting to the Farm Manager, your role includes:

  • Operating a modern fleet of John Deere tractors, pickers, headers and other farm machinery and equipment
  • Irrigation
  • General farm duties and maintenance
  • Following Safe Work policies and procedures

Your Skills and Experience

To be successful in this position, you will need:

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of irrigated row cropping and broadacre farming.
  • Experience in tractor operation and set up of cropping plant & equipment.
  • Experience using earthworks machinery, graders & excavators, not essential but an advantage.
  • Effective communication with farm staff and the management team.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good mechanical knowledge, an advantage.
  • A hands-on approach and ability to perform repairs and maintenance of farm machinery & equipment when needed.
  • Chemical Accreditation, or the ability to attain, an advantage.
  • A current driver licence with no restrictions, HR/HC/MC truck licence an advantage.
  • To be punctual and reliable.
