Job Title: Experienced Xero Bookkeeper
Location: Inner West of Melbourne – Sunshine West
Job Type: Full Time and must be Onsite 8am – 4pm
Salary: Dependant on experience
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Xero Bookkeeper with extensive experience in end-to-end accounts receivable and payable processes to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time position for an experienced professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and can take full ownership of closing out jobs, invoicing and communications and supplier reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities:
- End-to-End Accounts Receivable & Payable: Manage high-volume data entry and reconciliations for both accounts receivable and payable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of all transactions.
- Invoicing & Job Ownership: Take full responsibility for daily invoicing based on job completion, ensuring that all invoices are issued promptly and accurately.
- Liaising with Operations and Crews: Work closely with the operations team and various field crews to ensure invoicing is completed in a timely manner, addressing any discrepancies or delays in job completion.
- Data Accuracy & Reconciliation: Perform accurate data entry and reconciliation tasks, ensuring that all accounts and job-related invoices are correctly recorded and aligned with the company's financial records.
- Problem Resolution: Handle any discrepancies or issues that arise, proactively communicating with relevant teams and stakeholders to resolve issues efficiently.
- Reports & Documentation: Prepare regular reports for management regarding the status of accounts, invoicing, and reconciliation progress.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in Xero Bookkeeping minimum 5 years with a strong understanding of accounts receivable and payable processes.
- Demonstrated experience in high-volume data entry, invoicing, and reconciliations.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of high-volume data entry experience is required
- Ability to work independently and take full ownership of invoicing tasks with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with both internal teams (operations, crews) and external parties (clients, suppliers).
- Experience with Xero Payroll is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word is essential for daily operations and communication.
- Experience with Xero software is a must.
- Experience with Trello (or similar project management tools) is a bonus.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage time effectively.
- Australian work rights are required for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certificate IV in Bookkeeping or relevant accounting qualification.
- Experience working in a [specific industry] (if relevant).
