Psychologist Position - Luxury Practice, Full Admin Support, Immediate Client Load in a private practice setting working with eating disorders, trauma, and neurodivergence

Location: Windsor, Brisbane, QLD

$144+ per hour (general psychs) or $171+ per hour (clinical psyhs)

The Position

We're seeking a General or Clinical Psychologist for ideally two days a week. You'll join our supportive team in Windsor, providing therapy to clients with eating disorders, trauma, suicidality, and other complex mental health issues, within a framework that values clinical autonomy and professional growth.

NOTE:
The applicant must be available at least one full day or two half days on days that we have room availability.

Our current room availability is: Monday afternoons, Tuesday all day, Thursday mornings, Saturdays.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Provide counselling (and assessment if desired) services to individuals in a private practice setting
  • Utilise evidence-based approaches in therapy
  • Work with eating disorders from an anti-diet / non-weight focused lens
  • Prepare professional documentation (GP letters, reports, and case notes)
  • Practice in alignment with AHPRA standards
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and supervised support

Essential Criteria

  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Medicare Provider number eligibility (either now or in the next 2 months)
  • Current ABN (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Current indemnity insurance policy (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
  • Alignment with Exhale's values of offering treatment that is neuroaffirming, LGBTQAI+ inclusive, and Health At Every Size (HAES)/non-weight focused (please address in cover letter)
  • Experience in evidence-based treatments (CBT, ACT, DBT, SSCM, FPT, EMDR, or Schema Therapy)
  • Strong professional boundaries with patients
  • Special interest in working with eating disorders, trauma, neurodivergence, and complex mental health conditions
  • Healthy relationship with food (strongly recommended: no personal experience of an eating disorder or disordered eating within the last two years)

  • Experience working with eating disorders, trauma, neurodivergence, and/or complex mental health conditions
  • Passionate about Exhale values - trauma informed, neuroaffirming, queer affirming, weight neutral, and passionate about clients with multiple intersectionalities
  • Experience delivering non weight-focused eating disorder treatment
