The Role
Increment is seeking a talented and experienced DevOps Engineer to join their Managed Support Services (MSS) team. Increment has an array of government and private clients utilising its Managed Support Services today. With a strong focus on Microsoft Cloud technologies, the DevOps Engineer will be responsible for designing, automating, and maintaining robust cloud infrastructure, Microsoft 365 and Azure services, streamlining continuous integration and delivery processes, and collaborating with and meeting the needs of Increment's managed services clients to ensure reliable and scalable systems and services. This will include contributing to and managing application releases/updates.
The MSS team also supports the technology operations for Increment. The DevOps Engineer will also provide support internally to the Increment team, managing device provisioning, user access and application support.
Increment's MSS is on a growth trajectory, and in this role you will be part of our growth journey and gain valuable experience through supporting a wide variety of client needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy, Manage and support cloud infrastructure, Azure services and Microsoft 365 services.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, Terraform, or similar tools.
- Configure and manage monitoring tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Application Insights) to track system performance and health.
- Enforce security best practices and compliance standards in cloud environments.
- Automate routine tasks and deployments to streamline operations.
- Provide technical support, guidance and advice for clients on deployed services and solutions.
- Provide technical support for Network Security appliances, including Fortinet and UniFi.
- Resolve incidents and service requests received from clients.
- Plan, document and implement changes.
- Collaborate with Increment colleagues to resolve complex issues and to develop and deploy new capabilities.
- Train new team members in DevOps practices
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum Qualifications:
- Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate.
- Microsoft M365 Administrator Expert.
- Microsoft Azure DevOps Engineer Expert.
- Microsoft Security Compliance & Identity Fundamentals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or equivalent qualifications and experience.
Skills and Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in an engineering role, with experience a proven track record in cloud-based environments.
- 5+ years' experience in managing and supporting Microsoft Azure & Microsoft 365 services.
- Strong understanding of Entra ID and SharePoint Online
- Experience working within an ITIL Operations framework.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitLab CI etc).
- Familiarity with containerisation technologies, serverless 'as code' functions and an automation by default mindset.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise effectively to balance competing demands and deadlines.
- Broad experience working with large corporate, enterprise, or government organisations.
- Broad Understanding of Microsoft Defender product suite.
