Events Marketing Coordinator
You run live campaigns with real targets attached. Registrations rise and fall every day. Sponsors need assets. Speakers change details. Partners want links that track. Event pages need to convert now, not later. You hold all of it together.
You build plans that move people to act. You choose channels with purpose. You watch performance closely and change course fast when something isn't working. You don't wait for event week to find problems. You solve them early.
You work side-by-side with the Marketing Director, Data, Sales and Production. You guide Coordinators and partners to keep campaigns aligned. You don't manage a team, but you lead delivery.
When event week arrives, you see the result. The right people are in the room. Sponsors see value. Follow-up lands cleanly because you set it up from the start.
This is the role. You run the engine behind our conferences, summits and roundtables.
Key Details:
- Role level: Step up from Coordinator level (hands-on campaign owner). Not a traditional Marketing Manager role.
- Reporting line: Reports to the Marketing Director. Works closely with Data, Sales/Sponsorship, Production, Operations and partners.
- Event types: Conferences, summits and roundtables.
About FuturePlace Media
FuturePlace Media runs events, advisory and market intelligence for the Built World. We bring together decision-makers across real estate assets, construction and infrastructure to share what's changing and what to do next.
Why this role matters
An event can have the right speakers, sponsors and venue and still fall short. Attendance drives the outcome. This role builds demand, converts interest into registrations, and keeps momentum through event week.
You will lead campaigns, measure performance, and improve results.
What you will do (a snapshot)
- Own event marketing delivery across a portfolio of conferences, summits and roundtables
- Build campaign plans: audience, messaging, channel mix, timelines and risk planning
- Drive delegate registrations through HubSpot email and automation, with clear segmentation and database hygiene
- Run promotion across LinkedIn (paid and organic), plus Google Ads and retargeting where relevant
- Own event pages in WordPress: keep content current, check CTAs, and fix links and forms' issues fast
- Coordinate partner and association promotion: listings, newsletters, media swaps, tracked links and fulfilment
- Support sponsor and exhibitor promotion using promo kits, links and coordinated rollouts
- Report and optimise weekly: pacing, performance, actions and post-event learnings
- Support event delivery with pre-event comms, onsite updates and social coverage support (including early starts and occasional interstate travel)
How you work
- You run priorities through project manager platforms like Asana and keep campaigns moving without constant supervision
- You stay close to performance and registrations each week and act on what the data shows
- You collaborate across Sales/Sponsorship, Production, Data, Operations and external partners
- You spot problems early and fix them before they become event-week issues
What you will bring
- 2+ years' B2B marketing experience, with strong exposure to events marketing
- A degree qualification in marketing, business or a related field
- Experience running campaigns across CRM/email marketing, paid social and performance basics, and partner marketing
- Confidence updating websites (WordPress) and improving conversion through practical testing and fixes
- Strong writing and sharper QA: you check links, forms, segments, and tracking before anything goes live
- Comfort working to deadlines and delivering under pressure during campaign peaks and event weeks
Tools you will use (and will be comfortable in doing so)
- HubSpot or similar (CRM and automation)
- WordPress or similar (event pages)
- Asana or similar (project delivery)
- GA4 and UTM tracking
- LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Google Ads, and retargeting tools (as used)
- Canva and design brief workflows
How to apply
Send your CV and a short cover note. Include:
- 2 to 3 campaigns or events you've worked on.
- What you owned vs what you supported.
- What changed because of your work (registrations, leads, conversion, partner outcomes).
FuturePlace Media is an equal opportunity employer.
