About The Opportunity

We integrate
Health, Safety and Wellbeing (HSW)

The key objective of this pivotal HSW Lead role will be to lead and deliver HSW advice and service, enabling positive outcomes to employees and leaders-driving effectiveness, fostering uplift in cultural maturity and delivering uplift of HSW performance across all our Milwaukee business areas.

Reporting to the
Head of Health, Safety & Wellbeing ANZ
, you will have two direct reports and will be required to work from sites across Dandenong, Tullamarine and Notting Hill, with some interstate travel required.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Health, Safety and Wellbeing Culture

  • Enabling a positive health, safety and wellbeing culture across the Milwaukee business - empowering leaders with the knowledge and guidance to adopt a proactive HSW mindset and lead by example in safe work practices.
  • In partnership with our People and Culture (P&C) teams, identify opportunities to embed HSW capability and literacy at all stages of the employee lifecycle.
  • Proactively coach and guide leaders in best practice health, safety and wellbeing management.

People Leadership

  • Provide a work context and environment that enables excellence and brings out the best in every staff member.
  • Provide mentoring and leadership to direct reports, ensuring that all HSW team members are effective and supported in their roles.

HSW Management System (HSWMS) Development and Cont. Improvement

  • Contribute to the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of HSWMS.
  • Work collaboratively across the business to identify, elaborate and drive improvements and integration of the HSWMS.
  • Participate in the monitoring for and evaluation of the impact of existing, new and upcoming legislation and ensure change management plans are proposed proactively.

Partner with key stakeholders

  • B
    uild relationships and drive HSW maturity to enable leading HSW performance and effective service delivery.
  • Provide advice, interpretation and guidance on application of the HSWMS, as well as leading practices and legislative/regulatory requirements.
  • Identify gaps and determine, prioritise, evaluate and recommend appropriate solutions aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Provide effective strategic advice, support, coaching and guidance to Managers and their direct reports to support the achievement of organisational goals, through effective identification of opportunities to listen and influence commercial outcomes.

Operational Management

  • Provide effective strategic advice, support, coaching and guidance to managers and their direct reports.
  • Contribute to HSW governance and reporting.
  • Provide feedback on systems and processes to improve effectiveness.

About You

You will have a tertiary qualification in WHS combined with solid working experience of Model WHS Act, Regulations and Codes. A minimum 5 years' experience in delivery of HSW advice and service, with relevant industry experience and the following attributes:

  • Effective communication skills, with an ability to import knowledge, lead and coach others.
  • Demonstrated experience in influencing and driving change across a diverse organisation.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence outcomes to win/ win positions.
  • Sound understanding of ANZ Workcover and related requirements preferred (not essential).
  • Experience in various MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Power Point, Visio).
  • Strong attention to detail and well organised.
  • Experience within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
