The Role

We are seeking a motivated Graduate Engineer to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in civil construction, working across various aspects of project delivery from site operations to project management and administration.

As a Graduate Engineer at CBS, you will:

  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and delivering civil works, including concrete paving, drainage, and utilities projects.
  • Work closely with project managers, site supervisors, and engineers to monitor progress and ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Contribute to quantity tracking, cost control, and productivity analysis.
  • Assist with preparation of method statements, risk assessments, and site documentation.
  • Undertake key project administration tasks.
  • Preparing and updating project registers and logs.
  • Collating and submitting site records, daily diaries, and inspection reports.
  • Coordinating documentation for inductions, onboarding, and compliance.
  • Managing incoming/outgoing correspondence and filing project documents.
  • Gain exposure to Tier 1 contractor requirements and industry-leading construction methods.

About You

We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic team player who is ready to learn and grow in a fast-paced construction environment.

Essential:

  • Degree (or near completion) in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to work on-site and travel to project locations.
  • A passion for building a career in civil construction.

Desirable:

  • Internship or site experience in civil or infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with construction software such as Primavera P6, AutoCAD, or MS Project.
