The Role:

Surfers Pavilion is looking for experienced Baristas to join our team of hospitality professionals.

The candidate:

  • Friendly, enthusiastic, outgoing and with strong social skills
  • Preferably with a minimum of 1 year experience making coffee - including latte art.
  • Knowledge, passion and understanding of coffee
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • A team-player, as well as a self-starter that is able to work autonomously when needed
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Be well presented, punctual, and reliable
  • Flexibility and availability for early morning shifts.

The Responsibilities:

  • Preparing espresso-based coffee drinks, such as long black, flat white, latte and cappuccino, following standard coffee-making protocols
  • Preparing other beverages, including tea, hot chocolate and frozen drinks (i.e. iced lattes, iced chocolates and smoothies)
  • Keeping coffee-making equipment clean throughout the day and following a procedure to thoroughly clean the equipment at the end of the day
