Role Overview

As a Senior Air Conditioning / Refrigeration Service Technician, you will play a key role in maintaining and optimising medium to large plant HVAC and refrigeration systems across commercial and industrial sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service & Repair
  • Service, and repair commercial HVAC systems, including package units and central plant systems.
  • Advanced Diagnostics
  • Utilise your strong fault-finding skills to diagnose issues efficiently and implement effective, long-term solutions.
  • Team Collaboration
  • Work closely with a highly skilled team, maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and workmanship across all projects.
  • Client Engagement
  • Provide professional, customer-focused service while sharing technical expertise directly with clients.
  • This role suits a driven technician who combines strong technical capability with excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.

Work Hours

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm (40-hour week)
  • Regular overtime available
Candidate Profile
  • Minimum 7+ years post-apprenticeship experience in air conditioning and refrigeration
  • Strong experience in fault finding, preventative maintenance, and central plant systems, including chillers
  • Ability to work autonomously with excellent time-management and organisational skills
  • A strong commitment to quality workmanship and continuous learning

  • Essential licences and tickets:

  • ARC Licence

  • Electrical Licence
  • Current VIC Driver's Licence

  • White Card

  • Experience with Carrier, Daikin, or Trane commercial systems

  • Exposure to BMS integration and VRV/VRF systems highly regarded
