Poly Welders & Mobile Plant Operators - FIFO

Poly Welders

  • Operate poly welding machines (Dixons, McElroys, Ritmos) up to 900mm
  • Install HDPE pipelines, dewatering systems, valves, tees, bends, and reducers
  • Perform tie-in welds and complete complex welds under pressure
  • Competent in use of extrusion welding
  • Set up, calibrate, and record weld parameters to QA standards
  • Interpret drawings, work independently, and complete safety paperwork
  • Experience with bore sinking and dewatering (desirable)

Mobile Plant Operator

  • Competent operating one or more the following machines in a civil environment: Excavator, Loader, Skid steer, Telehandler, Dozer and Grader.
  • Using mobile plant for HDPE pipe installations and dewatering networks, trenching, slinging HDPE pipe into trenches, unloading trucks, minor earthworks.
  • Experience in large scale earthworks & construction

Skills & Experience

  • 3 years experience as a poly welder or mobile plant operator in civil construction
  • Hold nationally accredited plant operating or poly welding tickets
  • Extensive knowledge of HDPE pipe installation and experience using a range of welding machines such as  Dixon, McElroy, Ritmo.
  • HR License (or higher) - Preferable
  • BHP, FMG, RIO and Roy Hill inductions are highly desirable.
