The Role: Computer Network and Systems Engineer
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Computer Network and Systems Engineer to be part of a rapidly growing organisation; we are looking for bright, energic, innovative, enthusiastic, and reliable people committed to career development. As a Computer Network and Systems Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless integration of network infrastructure with our solar panel installations. Working alongside a dynamic team of engineers and renewable energy experts, you will be responsible for:
Key responsibilities:
- Work with multiple operating systems and configurations.
- Collaborate with vendors and partners to procure hardware and software for network optimization.
- Implement mobile network solutions to support field operations, enabling technicians to access network resources and troubleshooting tools while installing, maintaining, or repairing solar panel systems.
- Establish communication protocols and network connections.
- Implement network solutions that enable remote monitoring and management of solar panel performance, allowing for real-time data analysis and troubleshooting.
- Develop data analytics capabilities within the network infrastructure to analyse solar panel performance data, optimize energy production, and identify areas for improvement.
- Supporting Microsoft 365, Windows Server & Desktop Technologies & Cloud Environments.
- Plans, develops, deploys, tests, and optimizes network and system services.
- Monitor network traffic, and activity, capacity, and usage to ensure continued integrity and optimal network performance.
- Provides troubleshooting and fault-finding services for network problems.
- Assessing and recommending improvements on the company's IT Network environments.
- Ensure that network infrastructure and systems comply with regulations and standards related to renewable energy, data privacy, and environmental sustainability.
- Preparing and maintaining procedures and documentation for network inventory, and recording diagnosis and resolution of network faults, enhancements, and modifications to networks, and maintenance instructions.
To Be Successful in This Role, We Seek:
- AQF bachelor's degree or higher qualification.
- Experience: at least three years of relevant experience.
- Familiarity with renewable energy systems, particularly solar panel installations, is a plus.
- Must be able to work alone while being supported in a small team environment.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
