About the role:

The Senior Project Officer will join a large QLD tertiary education institute to support the Director and Manager of Product services in the oversight of a large program of work.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Product Team by ensuring timely, accurate, and policy-compliant reporting and financial documentation.
  • Maintain and manage a schedule of work across the program portfolio.
  • Collaborate with diverse stakeholders including internal teams, external government agencies and clients to ensure alignment with governance and strategic objectives.
  • Utilise systems such as JIRA, Microsoft Office, Copilot and Power Bi to support operations and provide high level reporting.
  • Develop and implement reporting frameworks and performance tracking tools against objectives and KPI's
  • Ensure compliance with organisational policies and procedures.
  • Build and maintain effective and productive working relationships across the organisation.
  • Work independently to manage tasks and deliverables within required timeframes.
  • Support transformation and cultural change initiatives by modelling organisational values.

Experience

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships across diverse teams.
  • Experience in program governance, reporting, and financial oversight.
  • Proficiency in relevant systems and tools including Office 365, JIRA and document management systems and protocols.
  • Qualification in program or project management or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in diverse, fast paced and dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of financial and reporting systems and processes.
