PJL are seeking an experienced Component Specialist to join our mechanical team in our state-of-the-art workshop in Orange NSW.

In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for the following

  • Rebuilding various components including transmissions, axle and wheel end assemblies and torque convertors
  • Work to OEM specifications and safety standards
  • Strip down components for inspection and cleaning
  • Assess wear, damage, and failure causes
  • Generate parts lists
  • Reassembly of components
  • Test rebuilt components for quality and performance
  • Maintaining an accurate record of repairs and maintenance for all components
  • Perform additional duties within your scope as required to support the team and workshop operations

We are looking for:

  • Trade qualification – Diesel Fitter or equivalent
  • Experience with mining or heavy machinery components (e.g. CAT, Allison, Dana & Kessler)
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools and precision measuring instruments.
  • Understanding of drivetrain and hydraulic systems.
  • Commitment to Safety, Quality and Teamwork.

PJL supports the mining industry by providing asset hire, maintenance services, labour and project support, mechanical and engineering services along with the manufacture and sale of retail items including ground engaging tools.
