About the role: MiFinity requires a Head of Compliance to help contribute to the ongoing growth and to help to manage the various risks associated with operating a Fintech covering, remote gaming, FX, Crypto, with a particular focus on protecting consumers. This represents an ideal time to join MiFinity, since the company is enjoying significant growth.
The role:
Oversee regulatory returns for all territories.
Own and fix compliance issues as and when detected.
Manage key event reporting and liaise with third parties to identify route cause and solution.
Deal with ad hoc complaints escalations as and when required.
Manage activities with SAR submissions.
Chair the Monthly Compliance Governance meetings.
Assist with Compliance training for all staff.
Provide Compliance reports to Senior management.
Contribute to Board of Management Quarterly Board meetings.
Oversee customer due diligence and enhanced due diligence processes.
Notify the regulator of any material changes, Licence variations and application.
Monitor regulatory changes and assess impact on operations.
Assist teams within the Business as and when required which will help to expand your business and Product knowledge.
Interact with UK Compliance/MLRO in our Belfast Office.
Minimum Requirements:
5+ years of experience in a similar role, ideally currently or previously PQ'd by the MFSA.
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with internal teams, partners, and regulatory bodies.
Strong leadership and analytical skills, with a proven ability to manage and motivate teams in fast-paced environments.
In-depth knowledge of the fintech/payments industry, trends, and regulatory requirements.
Candidate must have a keen eye for detail.
Resilient under pressure, delivering decisive and pragmatic solutions in complex and high-stakes situations.
