Hair Stylist with experience

The position will undertake all the responsibilities as a Hairdresser at our salons. The primary duties include cut, style, colour and perm with chemical solutions, and provide clients with hair and scalp treatments.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Schedule client appointments and answer client calls advising on the services provided in the salon.
• Maintain client records and information
• Point of sale financial transactions such as prepare the bills, receive cash, tender cash, provide vouchers, manage cash register, reconcile balance etc
• Prepare client for a Haircut by shampooing, conditioning, wrapping, combing etc
• Advise clients on hair care and recommend and sell hair care products
• Cut, shape, style and brow wave hair
• Hair sculpting
• Mixing and colour application - Tinting, highlights
• Perming and curling hair
• Chemical hair straightening and relaxing
• Razor cutting, texturing and tapering
• Colour correction
• General cleaning and disinfecting the workstations
• Sterilizing tools and equipment such as razors, clippers etc
• Risk assessment and immediate measures to avoid or control any potential risks
• Manage all operational aspects of running the salon
• Ongoing meetings with other employees and manager to discuss and resolve any issues and for general briefings.

Requirements for the position

• Must have a minimum of 3 Years experience in hairdressing
• Pleasant personality with good communication skills
• Able to work under pressure
• Good hand-eye co-ordination
• Patient
• Some creative flair
• Attention to detail
• Willingly able to follow instructions

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Casual

Pay: $50,000.00 – $59,999.00 per year
