We are currently seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Arborist to join our Trees Maintenance team in delivering a high level of presentation for the City's parks, gardens, reserves, sportsgrounds, streetscapes, and roadsides.
- Permanent, full-time position (38 hours per week).
- Remuneration of $2,463.50 gross per fortnight with the opportunity to progress to $2,956.20 gross per fortnight + superannuation (12%).

Your New Role
We are seeking a qualified and motivated arborist to work within the tree team to deliver a high level of presentation and maintenance for the City's trees in streets, parks, gardens, reserves and sportsgrounds as well as delivering quality customer service.
Duties of this position include but are not limited to
:
- Undertake arboriculture duties including establishment, pruning, removing, fertilising and irrigation of trees; onsite remedial tree inspections; develop and implement maintenance schedules; and maintain registers.
- Operate and maintain Council plant and equipment with an emphasis on elevated work platform, truck, loader, chipper, chainsaw, bobcat, and implement operation.
- Implement maintenance programs and work schedules to agreed service levels. Provide industry input in refining these programs in association with the street tree audit.
What Will You Need To Succeed
As the successful applicant, you will hold the following:
- A Certificate III in Arboriculture;
- Class MR Truck Driver's Licence;
- General Construction Induction Training Card (White Card);
- SafeWork NSW Traffic Control Card – Implement Traffic Control Plans (Desirable);
- Well-developed communication, interpersonal and time management skills; and
- A sound knowledge of trees, chemical application, pest/disease control.
In accordance with Work Health and Safety legislation, the successful applicant is required to be vaccinated for Hepatitis B and will be asked to provide evidence of this.
