Join the Civmec TeamThis is a great opportunity for experienced Mechanical Fitters to join our team working on the FMG Green Iron project located at Christmas Creek. Civmec has been awarded the delivery of the Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical & Instrumentation packages of work that kicked off in June 2025 with project completion scheduled for Mid-2026. The project offers a 3:1 roster with transport to and from site provided from Perth Airport.
The RoleReporting to the Leading Hand/Supervisor your key responsibilities are:
Conduct fault finding for breakdownsMaintain stock of hydraulic, mechanic, electronic and pneumatic materialsAssemble metal parts and subassemblies to fabricate production machines and other equipmentComplete mechanical checklists and weekly inspections of plant and machineryConduct marking and lining outConduct pre-start checks on plant and equipment, hand tools, tooling and equipment prior carrying out the taskMaintain and keep tools and equipment in a safe area. Lock them away or return to store when not requiredFollow quality control systems and techniquesHousekeepingPerform other general duties as required About YouTo be successful in the role you will possess the following:
Australian recognised Trade Certificate Current Working Safely at Heights CertificateCurrent High risk elevating work platform license and VOCCurrent Drivers LicenceNationally recognised Construction Safety Awareness Card (White Card)Previous construction experienceAbility to complete and pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen.
