Role Description

This is a full-time in office role for a Drafting Technician at Event Engineering in Chippendale, Sydney NSW (soon to be moving to Darlington, Sydney NSW).

As a Drafting Technician, you will be responsible for:

• Creating technical drawings,
• Collaborating with structural engineers and creative designers.

Your day-to-day tasks will include:

• Creating detailed design documentation,
• Modelling and testing,
• Supporting the fabrication and installation processes.

You will have an incredible opportunity to learn from leaders in the industry and work on high profile design and structural projects.

About You

Required:

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role.
• Advanced proficiency in 3D modeling using Rhinoceros 3D.
• Proficient in 2D drafting, with the ability to produce detailed, clear, and precise documentation.
• Ability to create designs across a range of fields, including civil engineering, residential design, industrial design, creative arts, temporary structures, and special projects for film and television.
• Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively alongside engineers, architects, and designers in a team environment.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication skills.

Desired:

• Strong skills in additional software such as VectorWorks and AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of general construction, architectural, industrial, and civil design.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $60,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
