About the role

As an HC Driver / Sideloader Operator at Western Container Service, you will play a vital role in our road transport operations. This day shift full-time position is based in Strathfield South, NSW and involves the safe and efficient delivery of goods using heavy combination vehicles and sideloader equipment.

What you'll be doing

  • Operate Heavy Combination (HC) vehicles to transport goods and materials across the region
  • Utilise sideloader equipment to safely load, unload and manoeuvre containers and other freight
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle roadworthiness
  • Adhere to all relevant road transport regulations and safety protocols
  • Liaise with customers and coordinate delivery schedules
  • Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation
  • Support the broader logistics team as required

What we're looking for

  • Valid Heavy Combination (HC) driver's licence with a clean record
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of HC driving experience is required
  • Demonstrated experience operating sideloader equipment, 2 years minimum.
  • Current MSIC card is essential.
  • Proficient in reading maps and planning efficient delivery routes
  • Excellent customer service orientation and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and operational needs
  • Australian work rights are required for this position
