About the role
Reporting to the Head of Technology, the Enterprise Architect Manager is responsible for the creation, maintenance and management of IT architecture models and their lower-level components. In addition, this role leads and manages a team of solution architects, ensuring the delivery of high-quality solution architecture across all IT-delivered & supported projects at BAC. They are also required to interpret, use and apply information contained within IT and solution architecture to inform a range of business improvement activities, particularly those involved in the design, development, enhancement and maintenance of IT support systems.
Key deliverables associated with this role include developing and maintaining enterprise architecture models, standards, and policies for ICT assets; creating strategic roadmaps and ICT investment plans aligned with business objectives; and providing expert advice on architecture and technology decisions. The role also establishes portfolio management practices, design authority, and technical governance processes to ensure consistency and compliance. In addition, it leads the solution architecture function, overseeing the design and delivery of solution architectures across all IT projects to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture. Finally, the position is responsible for building the capability of the solution architecture team and embedding best practices across the project portfolio.
About you
You like to be part of a happy, high performing team and take pride in making a difference through doing great work.
You will be tertiary qualified in a relevant field, with significant professional experience within a technical environment performing architecture & technical design and system analysis roles across technical domains. This shall include experience in developing ICT strategy and managing enterprise architecture in complex environments. Ideally, we are looking for somebody who is TOGAF certified, with program or project certification and experience leading and developing small teams.
We are seeking a commercially astute individual, who has the strategic perspective to understand the big picture, whilst recognising potential benefits of short-term, more pragmatic solutions.
