Role overview:

As a Relief Classroom Teacher, you are responsible for delivering an engaging and high-quality learning program that supports the academic, social, emotional, and spiritual growth of students across various year levels.

Main responsibilities:

• Partner with and facilitate the growth of students in all areas of learning, ensuring adherence to curriculum documents and the school's learning principles
• Maintain a safe, healthy, and supportive learning environment
• Use effective strategies to manage student behaviour and ensure a success-oriented classroom setting
• Set a positive example of Christian living, nurturing the faith and life of students through teaching, worship, and pastoral care
• Work cooperatively with staff, parents, and associated organisations to foster strong, positive relationships
• Participate in shared responsibilities such as staff meetings, playground supervision, curriculum development, and staff devotion
• Utilise assessment as an integral part of teaching and learning, providing timely feedback to help students monitor and adjust their learning goals
• Develop and implement creative and differentiated learning experiences aligned with the inquiry-driven learning model

Qualifications / Training

• Registered with the South Australian Teachers Registration Board as a Teacher
• Hold a current Certificate in First Aid for Schools
• A current Working with Children clearance
• Mandatory Reporting Certification
• RRHAN-EC Mandatory Notification Certification
