Field Service Technician

About the Role

Are you ready to elevate your career in renewable energy? Murra Warra II Wind Farm is looking for a Field Service Technician to join the team Located 25km north of Horsham in North Western Victoria, with a capacity of 209MW and is comprised of 38 GE Cypress turbines generating enough clean power to supply around 175,000 homes annually. As a major extension to the original Murra Warra project, it plays a key role in supporting Australia's shift to sustainable energy.

You'll be working at the forefront of renewable energy, maintaining and troubleshooting wind turbines at some of the most exciting and innovative sites in the country. No two days are the same, you'll be climbing turbines, solving real-world technical challenges, and helping to keep Australia's wind power turning.

Your role as the Field Service Technician will see you performing scheduled and unscheduled servicing of wind turbines and site infrastructure.

• Undertake tasks including annual maintenance, retrofit works, major component exchange and fault finding
• Perform high voltage switching operations according to site procedures as required
• Embrace a 37.5-hour work week, with opportunities for overtime as approved and participate in on-call rosters for after-hours or weekend work as directed

About You

• Qualified Electrician or a qualified Mechanic/Mechanical Fitter with electrical aptitude
• Proficient in fault finding (electrical, mechanical and hydraulic equipment)
• Trained to an intermediate level in using computer systems and tools for monitoring work and managing documentation
• Ability to complete physically demanding tasks at heights, comfortable with heights (you'll be climbing turbines, so you've got to have a head for heights and a love for fresh air)
• A current unrestricted driver's license
• A commitment to the highest safety standards, high performance, continuous improvement and delivering the right solutions
• Open to travel to other sites as required, from time to time
