The Role

Due to exceptional growth, based in Brisbane, my client is seeking a highly motivated Lead Control Systems Engineer. In this pivotal role, you'll be responsible for designing technical automation solutions across various PLC and SCADA platforms for multiple sectors. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Interpreting client project requirements and preparing essential documentation (design documents, drawings, scopes of work, functional specifications).
  • Conducting investigations, studies, and detailed designs for PLC, SCADA, and Telemetry Systems.
  • Configuring, programming, and documenting these systems.
  • Preparing Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and Site Acceptance Test (SAT) documentation.
  • Managing project schedules and budgets.
  • Working autonomously and leading small project teams.

About You

You're a degree-qualified engineer with at least 5 years of proven automation experience in sectors such as manufacturing, water, oil & gas, or infrastructure. As a candidate seeking a long-term role, you'll possess the following skills and attributes:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • RPEQ (Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland) is ideal.
  • Strong knowledge of PLC/SCADA systems, telemetry, RTUs, industrial communication, and network design.
  • Proven experience with platforms like Allen-Bradley, Schneider, Rockwell, Siemens, (experience with these is ideal).
  • Excellent relationship management skills with both external clients and internal teams.
  • A current Australian Driving Licence.
