Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Theatre Technician to join our team. This new part-time role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting surgical teams and ensuring smooth theatre operations.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist with the setup and preparation of theatres before procedures
· Support CSSD (Central Sterile Services Department) activities, including cleaning and sterilizing equipment
· Aid in patient positioning to ensure comfort and safety
· Unpack and restock supplies in theatres and storage areas
· Assist with ordering and inventory management of theatre supplies
· Assist with theatre turnover between cases as needed
· Work collaboratively with nursing, surgical, and support staff
About You:
· Previous experience in a hospital or day surgery setting is highly regarded
· Certificate III in Sterilization Services (desired)
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
· Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
· Excellent communication and teamwork skills
· Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
