Tecside is seeking an experienced
Quarry Manager
to lead operations at a busy quarry site in
Geraldton
on a
2:1 roster
. This role is ideal for a
local resident
, but
DIDO (Drive-In Drive-Out)
or
FIFO (Fly-In Fly-Out)
arrangements from Perth will also be considered.
In this key leadership position, you'll oversee all aspects of quarry operations - driving performance across safety, production, maintenance, and team leadership. Your focus will be on achieving strong operational outcomes while ensuring compliance with environmental, quality, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day quarry operations, ensuring full compliance with safety and environmental requirements.
 - Supervise and support staff and contractors, maintaining a proactive safety culture.
 - Manage production, maintenance planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
 - Oversee crushing and screening, drill and blast, loadout, and quarry development.
 - Prepare and manage budgets, cost controls, and performance targets.
 - Conduct audits, training, and toolbox meetings to ensure compliance.
 - Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and the local community.
 
About You
- Hold a
Quarry Manager's Certificate
,
SSE notice
, or sufficient experience to obtain one. - Proven experience in
quarry operations, mining, or heavy industry leadership
. - Strong understanding of
drill & blast
, crushing and screening, and quarry development. - Knowledge of
Safety Management Systems
and relevant WHS legislation. - Excellent communication and people management skills.
 - Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and P&L.
 - Practical, hands-on leadership style with a focus on results and safety.
