The role
The HR Systems Analyst is crucial in implementing the new HRIS, collaborating with stakeholders for successful deployment & integration, enhancing HR processes & data management. This position bridges the gap between business needs & technical solutions, leveraging HR process design experience, leadership & influencing capabilities. Working with the project team, subject matter experts & stakeholders to define functional requirements, design effective business processes & ensure seamless integration of HR initiatives within the HRIS platform.
Your everyday
This position sits within a fast paced environment, where you will hit the ground running. Highlighting that you will have the full support of the team within a collaborative environment.
Broken up into 3 areas, your everyday responsibilities will include, however not be limited to:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document & prioritise business requirements related to HRIS implementation for core HR, Recruitment, and workforce management.
- Analyse documents, programs, logic, process flows & specifications, using techniques such as process mapping, story mapping, user stories & acceptance criteria.
- Analyse existing business processes, identify areas for improvement & recommend optimised processes in alignment with HRIS capabilities.
- Provide support to HRIS users, addressing issues and facilitating system enhancements throughout the implementation.
- Collaborates closely with functional SMEs to ensure that the proposed solutions meet business requirements & objectives.
- Work with the System Implementor to configure the HRIS to meet specified requirements, ensuring alignment with business processes.
- Plan & coordinate testing efforts, including user acceptance testing, to validate that the implemented solutions effectively address business needs.
- Document & communicate project requirements, scope & status to stakeholders, ensuring clear & consistent communication throughout the implementation process.
Relationships:
- Engage effectively with stakeholders to identify & implement a HRIS solution that uplifts the maturity of Symal's systems & HR processes.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders such as vendors & contractors to ensure the achievement of HRIS implementation objectives.
Implementation & Change:
- Support the transition of the HRIS to BAU, ensure all handover documentation & procedures are covered for transition to production.
- Assist in creating change management materials to support effective communication & training for end-users.
- Work closely with functional process owners & subject matter experts to assess, review & modify key HR processes, ensuring consistency in content, format, and presentation.

We are looking for a person who likes to be kept challenged, ideally having:
- Significant industry experience as an end-to-end Business Analyst with solid experience on large complex projects/programs, including large-scale HRIS implementations.
- Proficiency in HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, Oracle, SAP Success Factors), data analysis & project management.
- Strong understanding of HR and payroll regulations & compliance.
- Experience in writing user stories & acceptance criteria.
- Proven ability to develop new concepts, design solutions & shape projects.
- Experience in documenting key initiative dependencies and mapping them to benefits.
