About This Opportunity:
We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Scrap Metal Buyers / Account Managers to join our team and help build the growth and reputation of our firm. The main focus of these role is to source and purchase scrap metal from industrial / commercial clients across areas of Melbourne and into specified regional areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source and purchase scrap metal from industrial / commercial clients
- Generate leads and book appointments through canvassing and cold calling
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients
- Achieve and exceed sales targets
- Provide exceptional customer service and support
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop effective strategies
Essential Skills and Attributes:
- Prior experience in account management is necessary - ideally with a love of being "on the road"
- Ability to combine new business development and account management
- Strong ability to meet targets and deadlines
- Highly organized with a sound understanding of sales functions and processes
- Excellent organizational and self-management skills to manage multiple leads effectively
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment
