Description

Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for estimating and winning work? Downer is seeking an Estimator to join our team based out of Eastern Creek, NSW. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to our Asphalt & Products business and be part of a collaborative and values-driven environment.

As an Estimator, you will play a key role in responding to RFTs and RFQs with precision and timeliness. You'll support the Estimating Manager and work closely with project delivery teams, sales managers, and clients to ensure accurate and competitive submissions.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit first principles cost estimates in line with company procedures.

  • Analyse contract documents and drawings to identify risks and opportunities.

  • Draft tender conditions and qualifications for review.

  • Participate in tender review meetings and support prioritisation of work.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.

What you'll bring

  • Previous industry experience in estimating, ideally within asphalt or road projects.

  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.

  • Excellent time management and organisational abilities.

  • Strategic thinker with a personable character and attention to detail.

  • Passion for winning work and achieving key business objectives.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Benchmark estimation software desirable.
