As an Project Electrical Engineer you will assist in providing turnkey project solutions for high voltage infrastructure. Reporting to the Project Manager this position will support the team to coordinate, lead and manage staff and contractors, plant and equipment to deliver our project outcomes.

Our office and workshop is based in Perth, WA, however project sites are varied and if successful you may be required to work away from home from time to time. Attractive living away from home remuneration will be offered.

We are seeking a permanent full-time Projects Engineer to join our team at PBE Rutherford Mining.

This is not a one-project, one-site, or fixed-roster role. Instead, the successful candidate will be employed directly by the company and will work on a series of projects, moving from one to the next as each is completed. Project locations, scopes, and rosters may vary depending on the needs of each contract.

This role offers long-term stability with the variety and challenge of working across different sites and project types over time.

As our company undertakes diverse projects at various locations, the Projects Engineer will be expected to adapt to changing environments, scopes, and schedules. This role offers variety, challenge, and the opportunity to contribute to a range of exciting initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing and coordinating employees and subcontractors
  • Understanding project scope and deliverables, arranging all resources, materials and plant to achieve outcomes
  • Managing project budget
  • Maintaining planned work schedules
  • Maintaining key customer relationships through regular communication and reporting, relating to progress of works on site
  • Monthly project reporting
  • Managing and monitoring design activities
  • Develop, implement, and monitor QA  activities
  • Ensure site WHS systems and compliance
Essential criteria:
  • Previous Project Engineering or Project Management experience
  • An electrical trade or electrical engineering background
  • Self-motivation and always striving for excellence
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • Mining and/or heavy industry experience
