Are you passionate about the environment, enjoy connecting with people and thrive in a hands-on, community-focused role? We're looking for an EcoHub Support Officer to help bring the City's sustainability initiatives to life.

As part of the EcoHub team, you'll play a key role in supporting the smooth operation of the facility and its programs – from helping coordinate events and workshops, to engaging with visitors, volunteers and community groups. You'll be the friendly face of the EcoHub, promoting sustainable living and inspiring positive environmental action in our community.

Location:City of Melville EcoHub

Salary: Level 4 $79,100.18 to $84,381.44 pro-rata p.a. + 12% Super

Employment Type:Fixed Term Part-Time 0.4 FTE (until 30 June 2026) and Casual

What You'll Be Doing

  • Provide exceptional customer service to visitors and community members
  • Support the delivery of the EcoHub's vibrant calendar of events and programs
  • Assist with administration, facility bookings, and day-to-day operations
  • Help promote the City's sustainability goals and values through your work
  • Work collaboratively with staff, volunteers and the local community to make the EcoHub a welcoming and engaging space

What We're Looking For

  • Current C Class Driver's Licence, First Aid Certificate and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • An interest or experience in sustainability, education and/or community development
  • Experience providing high-quality customer service in a busy and community-focused environment
  • Ability to engage confidently with children, community members, and volunteers
  • Strong organisational, time management and communication skills
  • Confidence using IT systems and tools (e.g. booking platforms, social media, Microsoft Office)
  • Availability for Fixed Term 0.4FTE: Ideally available Tuesdays and Thursdays, with flexibility to work additional hours as required
  • Availability for Casual: Ability and willingness to work outdoors including weekends and public holidays as required

It's a bonus if you also have:

  • Experience with booking systems, social media and Microsoft Office
  • Experience working with people with special needs or from diverse cultural backgrounds
