About Us Gold Star Pools is a leading pool construction and renovation company servicing residential and commercial clients across Australia. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality finishes and craftsmanship, and we are seeking an experienced and reliable Painter to join our growing team.
The Role We are looking for a full-time Painter to carry out a wide range of painting and finishing tasks on pools, pool surrounds, and associated structures. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, painting, and finishing surfaces to a high standard, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to client specifications.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, patching, and priming.
- Apply paints, varnishes, and protective coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
- Mix paints and match colours to design and client requirements.
- Ensure all finishes are of a high professional standard and meet safety and compliance guidelines.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean and safe work environment.
- Work as part of a team to deliver projects on time and to quality standards.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as a professional Painter.
- Trade qualification in Painting and Decorating (Certificate III or equivalent) desirable.
- Strong knowledge of surface preparation, paint products, and application techniques.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Current driver's licence and White Card preferred.
Salary & Conditions: This is a full-time position offering an annual salary between $77,000 and $85,000 plus superannuation, depending on skills and experience.
