THE ROLE

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Packer positions are responsible for ensuring all scheduled production tasks are carried out according to procedures and quality standards in a safe, timely and efficient manner.

This includes (but not limited to) the following:

  • Working on the assembly line, with repetitive actions, packing and boxing of products
  • Monitoring of product quality on the line and after production, whilst taking positive action if variation is observed
  • Lifting and pulling of items up to 15kg
  • Completion of cleaning and sanitation procedures and schedules as directed

To be the successful candidate, you will have:

  • Previous packing/process worker experience essential, ideally in the food industry
  • Have the ability to work under pressure in a high volume, fast paced environment
  • Demonstrate a commitment to safety to yourself and your colleagues
  • Forklift Licence would be advantageous
  • Previous dairy experience ideal
  • Ability to work with limited supervision
  • Willingness to learn new skills
  • Have a great eye for detail

Applicants should be prepared to perform manual handling, including lifting up to 15kg.  It is a requirement for the successful applicant to complete a pre-employment medical (including drug and alcohol test) as part of the recruitment process.
