About the Role
As a Pricing Analyst, you'll combine analytical expertise with commercial acumen to support agent pricing decisions, streamline vendor and agent operations, and drive profitability. You'll work closely with Agent Liaisons, Finance, Sales, Data Development, and Linehaul teams to ensure accurate cost reflection, rate card management, zone alignment, and data integrity across systems like Truckmate, Power BI, SSMS, and operational P&Ls.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment and enjoys solving complex problems with data.
Key Responsibilities
Pricing & Commercial Analytics
- Build and maintain pricing models using PowerQuery, SQL, Python, and AI-enabled tools.
- Analyse rate cards, zones, and accessorials to recommend commercial improvements.
- Quantify margin impacts and support pricing decisions with clear insights.
- Develop dashboards and recurring reports for key stakeholders.
Agent & Vendor Support
- Ensure accurate setup and maintenance of vendors and agents in Truckmate.
- Collaborate with Agent Liaisons to support alignment of our agent network and contribute to the development of SLAs.
- Monitor agent profitability and escalate trends to senior management.
- Maintain our agent data repository to help ensure accuracy of current signed rates, fuel levies, and related operational and commercial data to enable future analysis.
Operational & Data Support
- Design reliable data pipelines and enforce data governance.
- Resolve invoice discrepancies and ensure timely vendor payments with an emphasis on root cause solutions.
- Conduct regular checks on GL coding and cost data accuracy.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Partner with the RCTI Specialist and contribute to pricing process enhancements.
- Engage with internal teams to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
- Support team initiatives and contribute to a culture of excellence.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
- Hands-on experience with PowerQuery, SQL, Python, and Power BI.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Transport/logistics industry experience (desirable).
- A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
