About the Role:
The Course Manager is responsible for the leadership and management of educational program delivery for the Diploma of Nursing and oversight of the CPD program at ANMEC. This role has accountability for success across the full student journey, ensuring high-quality training outcomes that align with organisational goals. This includes the development, delivery, evaluation, and ongoing improvement of nursing education and training programs, as well as professional accountability for their success. The role provides leadership to staff through supervision, mentoring, and guidance in the use of training and assessment instruments, while also fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous learning. The Course Manager is expected to demonstrate expert-level knowledge in the area of nursing, acting as a resource and adviser to colleagues, and contribute to the development of standards, policies, and procedures that enhance educational delivery. They are also responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of programs, applying evidence-based solutions, and implementing necessary modifications to maintain relevance and quality. In addition, the Course Manager plays a key role in managing change, driving the development of new programs, and ensuring staff capability through structured development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervising and guiding a team of Educators to deliver high-quality training using contemporary practices, innovative methods, and maintain currency of subject knowledge.
- Develop, implement, evaluate, and improve programs, lesson plans, training materials, and assessment tools.
- Lead, mentor, and support educators through orientation, supervision, performance reviews, and professional development.
- Ensure compliance with RTO standards, legislation, policies, and contribute to quality assurance and continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with industry partners, regulators, professional networks, and the broader education sector.
- Represent and promote ANMEC as a high-quality training organisation, supporting recruitment and retention of members.
- Contribute actively to the ANMEC Leadership Team, program development, reporting, delegation, and WHS responsibilities.
About You:
We are seeking an organised, and committed professional who:
- Is committed successfully educating enrolled nurses for a contemporary workforce.
- Holds current registration as a Registered Nurse (AHPRA) and a Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent qualification).
- Holds a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (or higher qualification recognised for training and assessment in the VET sector).
- Demonstrates relevant clinical experience in areas aligned with the Diploma of Nursing.
- Brings advanced skills in training, assessment, and education, with the ability to integrate technology to enhance learning outcomes.
- Demonstrates proven leadership capability, with strengths in decision-making, problem solving, negotiation, and guiding team performance.
- Able to work independently and manage competing priorities while fostering collaboration and teamwork.
- Communicates effectively, with strong written, verbal, and time management skills.
- Committed to continuous professional growth, while supporting, mentoring, and developing staff capacity.
- Holds a current driver's licence
- Holds, or is willing to obtain, a current DHS Working with Children Check (WWCC).

The Course Manager position is offered as a permanent full-time position, classified in the RN4 range in accordance with the ANMF (SA Branch) Employees Agreement.
