Young Academics Early Learning Centre is a leading and rapidly expanding provider with more than 45 centres across New South Wales. We are currently seeking an experienced Centre Cook to join our Tahmoor Service.

This position is a Full Time role - Monday to Friday between 7am - 3pm

Responsibilities

  • Implement and modify (where required) a seasonal menu created by our nutritionist
  • Maintain regular checks in compliance with the NSW Food Standards Code and Health Regulations
  • Assist staff and families in providing high-quality education and care
  • Collaborate with the staff and families to facilitate learning opportunities relevant to the educational program
  • Maintain professional, supportive and respectful relationships between management, staff, families and children

About You

  • Demonstrated Cook/Chef experience in the Aged Care or Early Childhood Education and Care sector
  • An ACECQA-approved qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care is preferred but not mandatory
  • Alternatively, a relevant Commercial Cooks qualification
  • Food Handlers Basics Certificate
  • Valid NSW Employee Working with Children Check
  • Knowledge of Food Standards Codes, EYLF and NQS
