Description:

POSITION OVERVIEW:

As an HD Fitters you will be responsible for maintain, repair, and service Eastern Guruma's fleet of heavy mobile plant and equipment to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and safety. The role includes preventive maintenance, diagnostics, repair, reporting, and compliance with company and safety standards.

ABOUT ROLE:

Carry out maintenance and repair work on mobile and heavy equipment with increasing independence.

Develop technical knowledge and sound judgment in diagnosing and resolving mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults.

Maintain a clean, safe workspace, ensuring all tools, PPE, and electrical equipment are in good condition and correctly tagged.

Conduct inspections, complete movement reports, and promptly record or report any defects.

Identify required parts and coordinate procurement with the Maintenance Supervisor.

Accurately update maintenance and fuel records in Viper Metrics.

Diagnoses complex faults, oversees quality control, and supports client communication.

Skills and Experiences:

ABOUT YOU:

Relevant trade qualification in Heavy Diesel Fitting or equivalent.

Experience with heavy mobile plant equipment (civil/mining preferred).

Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.

Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
