All-Rounder | Café Barista & Hotel Receptionist

Are you someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys a variety of roles?

This is a varied role, with some days spent working at the hotel reception and other days serving as a barista in the café.

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Full-Time All-Rounder Café Barista & Hotel Receptionist at The Hughenden Hotel. This diverse position offers the perfect blend of customer service, hospitality, and food service.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Café Barista:

  • Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, espresso drinks, and other beverages to customers.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of all work areas.
  • Ensure an exceptional customer experience by providing friendly, knowledgeable service.
  • Assist with basic food preparation.

As a Hotel Receptionist:

  • Greet guests with a warm and welcoming demeanour upon arrival.
  • Check in/check out guests efficiently and accurately, ensuring a smooth and pleasant experience.
  • Answer phones and assist with reservations, both in-person and over the phone.
  • Manage guest complaints or concerns with professionalism and resolve issues promptly.

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a barista and/or hotel reception, preferred but not required. We can train the right person.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a busy environment.
  • A positive, team-oriented attitude.
  • We are staffed from 7am to 3pm each day, no afternoon or night shifts available. Ability to be flexible as shift are rostered weekdays and weekends.
