The role
We're looking for a proactive and commercially minded Risk Professional to join our Group Risk team as our Manager Business Continuity & Third Party Governance. In this newly created role, you'll partner closely with senior leaders to strengthen A&G's resilience strategy and ensure our business is equipped to manage disruption and protect critical operations.
You'll be at the forefront of embedding regulatory requirements, leading key frameworks across business continuity and third-party governance, and acting as a trusted advisor to the business. Position Accountabilities
In this role, you will:
- Shape, maintain and continually improve resilience frameworks that protect the organisation from disruption.
- Work with business leaders to identify critical operations and create effective recovery strategies.
- Lead due diligence and oversight to ensure risks are well managed and vendors are resilient.
- Drive the development and testing of business continuity plans.
- Support governance and reporting activities to senior executives, the Board, and regulatory requirements.
- Act as a subject matter expert, building awareness across the organisation through training and communication.
- Play a key role in crisis response and post event analysis, ensuring lessons are embedded into future plans.
What Experience You'll Bring
To thrive in this role, you will have:
- 4+ years' experience in resilience, operational risk or enterprise risk, supported by relevant tertiary qualifications.
- Strong knowledge of APRA standards (particularly CPS 230 and CPS 234).
- Proven ability to deliver business continuity and crisis management initiatives in complex environments.
- Experience building and delivering risk frameworks, policies and high quality reporting.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders.
- Strong leadership qualities and the ability to drive collaboration across subject matter experts.
- Previous experience in insurance will be highly regarded.
Location –Toowong
