Breakfast Cook

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Breakfast Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have experience in preparing and presenting a variety of high-quality breakfast dishes in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on consistency, efficiency, and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook all breakfast menu items to a high standard.
• Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards.
• Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner, especially during peak service hours.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment.
• Assist in stock rotation, storage, and minimization of food waste.
• Adhere to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards (HACCP knowledge desirable).
• Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service.
• Support the Head Chef/Manager with any other duties as required.

Skills & Requirements

• Proven experience as a breakfast cook, short-order cook, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of breakfast and brunch cooking techniques (e.g., eggs, pancakes, grills, etc.).
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
• Team player with good communication skills.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and public holidays.
• Understanding of food safety standards and kitchen hygiene practices.

Employment Details

• Job Type: Full time (40 hours)
• Hours: Tuesday - Friday starts at 7:30 am & Weekends from 8am
• Industry standard pay rates

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,596.71 – $77,956.14 per year
